Get in touch

Tell Alex what the job is and he will come and look at it. Estimates are written, free and carry no obligation — and if a job is not worth doing, we will say so.

Give us an email address or a phone number — whichever you would rather we used.

We use what you send here to reply to you and nothing else — no list, no newsletter, and it is not passed on.

What happens next

From your message to a written price

  1. You get in touch

A photograph and a rough size is usually enough for Alex to say whether it is something he can do, and roughly what it will cost, before anyone drives anywhere.

  2. Alex comes and looks

At a time that suits you. He measures properly, talks through the options and tells you if he thinks a job is not worth doing.

  3. A written estimate

Itemised, with materials named, so you can see what you are paying for. Free, and with no obligation whatsoever.

  4. The work

Booked for a date you agree. Floors covered, site swept at the end of each day, waste taken away and disposed of conscientiously.

Where we cover

Wiltshire and Somerset, from the workshop in Trowbridge. Jobs completed in the past year include Bath, Frome, Salisbury, Sherborne, Trowbridge and a village outside Devizes. If you are not sure whether we reach you, ask — we probably do.

Questions

Getting in touch — common questions

How quickly will I hear back?

Usually the same day, and always within two working days. Alex is on site most of the day, so a message often gets answered in the evening rather than the moment you send it.

Do you charge for an estimate?

No. The visit, the measuring and the written estimate are all free, whether or not you go ahead.

What should I include when I get in touch?

The town, roughly what the job is, and a photograph if you have one. That is usually enough to say whether it is something we can do and roughly what it will cost before anyone drives anywhere.
